90s!!! So… since we already did the top 80s hits, now it’s time for the 90s! Here are VH1’s Top Songs:
1) Nirvana- “Smells Like Teen Spirit”
2) U2- “One”
3) Backstreet Boys- “I Want it That Way”
4) Whitney Houston- “I Will Always Love You”
5) Madonna- “Vogue”

Now…. In my opinion, U2’s “One” should have been #1. Love the band, love their songs and Bono sure knows how to keep rockin’ as the years go by. U2 actually did a remake of this original song featuring Mary J. Blige in 2006. But here is one of their original music videos from the 90s of “One”.. Enjoy!

In the Kansas City Star, Howl at the Moon made an appearance in the August 26th paper! The article titled, “Versatile, talented Howl at the Moon band makes the crowds go wild” was dedicated to our amazing band in KC. The band consists of Hannah Kendle (fiddle player who grew up studying violin performance), Matt Kschinka (degree in piano performance from Elon University in NC), Tim Rice, the band’s entertainment director (degree in English from S. Florida), Ryan McCall ( piano player), Brian Babcock (piano player) and the newest member of the band, Kelsie Clark… bringing the total membership to 6 people! This article raves about our KC band and how talented they are…. duh!?

Howl hosted our 4th annual charity event with Joey Fatone and his closest friends on Thursday, July 30th, 2009 @ Howl Orlando. This charity celebration is for the Fatone Family Foundation and donations go toward this foundation. Every year it’s a huge hit, and this year was just as successful! Featured guests included: Deborah Gibson, Alfonso Ribeiro & JJ Redick. At this event, the crowd is able to sing with the stars and are eligible to win great prizes!! Plus, if guests give a donation, they can get awesome gifts, free admission, and drinks! This year went great, and we are looking forward to our next Rock On the Moon & Sing With the Stars event!! Thanks to everyone who came out and Howled with us!

80’s!!!! It was such a great time period that we decided to list VH1’s top 5 songs… They are all classics and the music videos are even better…
1. “Livin’ On a Prayer” – Bon Jovi
2. ‘”Pour Some Sugar On Me” – Def Leppard
3. “Hungry Like the Wolf” – Duran Duran
4. “Billie Jean” – Michael Jackson
5. “When Doves Cry” – Prince
From VH1’s top 5 song list of the 80s… my favorite is hands down #2, “Pour Some Sugar On Me”! It’s still played regularly @ bars, karaoke joints, and parties around the world!

Blues Traveler, John Popper, came into our Howl location in Kansas City last week. He sure made the crowd stir with his surprise visit @ Howl and stayed to watch the show. General Manager, Derek Langford and how employee Taylor were fortunate enough to speak with John and take a picture with him! What a great night!

Who would have ever thought that musician Billy Joel and wife of 5 years, Katie Lee Joel, would end their marriage? BIlly Joel is now a 60 year old man and single…. but if you’re Billy Joel, he probably won’t have a hard time finding another woman to be her “piano man.” Apparently Billy and Katie decided to remain close friends, but both realized the marriage was not working. This is not Joel’s first divorce however… he was once married to supermodel Chrisie Brinkley and before that, his business manager, Elizabeth Weber Small. Looks like Joel will be just fine afterall.
